Below are presented the findings from a study of Acclivus, Inc., a community services organization with a violence prevention and interruption mission. The study was conducted by researchers at the Jane Addams Center for Social Policy and Research, University of Illinois Chicago and focused on the organization’s hospital response and community street outreach programs. Individual interviews with staff and community stakeholders served as the primary data sources. Findings cover who staff are, what they do and how, and organizational success and effectiveness as perceived by staff and community stakeholders.
