About
Imani Pitman, MSW received her Bachelors in Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017. During which she worked at the local Boys & Girls Club. Her experience here led her to pursue her Masters in Social Work with a focus in Leadership & Social Change from UIUC (2018). During her Master’s studies, Imani interned with Voices for Illinois Children as a Helen R. Weigel Fellow. At Voices, Imani assisted in conducting the fiscal scan for the Illinois Risk & Reach report and advocating for the Racial and Ethnic Impact Note Act in Illinois. Currently, Imani works as the Program Manager at ChiGivesBack, Inc. As a Ph.D. student, her interests include economic mobility and racial equity.
