About
Lorrie Rickman Jones serves as program director and co-investigator for the UIC Behavioral Health Crisis Hub at the Jane Addams Center for Social Policy and Research, being responsible for its overall strategic direction and day-to-day leadership. Jones has more than 30 years experience in the health care field, serving as president of Behavioral Health Innovations LLC, a Chicago-based consulting firm providing evidence-based and data-informed health care solutions for private health care and governmental entities, both locally and nationally. She also served as vice president for behavioral health and strategic innovation for a Medicaid managed care company. In the public sector, Jones served as the senior policy advisor for behavioral health in the Office of the Illinois Governor, being responsible for creating, directing, and overseeing behavioral health policy development across state agencies consistent with the governor’s major policy goals and national best practices. Prior to this appointment, Jones served for eight years as director of the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health (IDHS-DMH).
