Abstract
In partnership with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Dr. Geiger works with the Cook action teams to facilitate the ongoing refinement and implementation of action plans to improve permanency and reduce the overrepresentation of African American children in foster care. The program also tracks racial/ethnic disproportionality and disparities among families served by DCFS in the Cook regions and facilitate process and outcome evaluation of the efforts of the action teams in the Cook regions.
