Abstract
Dr. Swartz is the lead evaluator on this project with the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse. The 5-year project will implement and evaluate the expansion of training and naloxone distribution in areas of Illinois where there have been high rates of increase in heroin, prescription, and other opioid-related overdoses and deaths. Dr. Swartz is responsible for analyzing data collected at six project sites to evaluate how well the project is meeting its goals.
