Financial support for students helps ensure that they can pursue their graduate social work education unburdened by financial worries, focusing instead on mastering the knowledge and skills they will carry forward to help transform marginalized communities.
Receiving this award means so much to me. I received my bachelor’s degree almost three years ago, so I’ve been a little nervous about having to juggle work and school again. But receiving this award gave me the confidence I needed to begin this school year. I chose Jane Addams because I thought it was the best program to prepare me to make a true difference in my community, and with your help I will be able to graduate and begin working toward a career as a licensed clinical social worker.
